HPJ: The Back Story

Greetings, beautiful souls!

I'm Sarah E Lager, and I'm eager to unfold the story behind Her Prayer Journal Ministries with you.

The first time I publicly shared my testimony in January 2018.

This journey began with a simple belief – the love of Christ has the power to transform our community. I vividly recall 2016 when I started dreaming up ways to uplift our community, jotting down these visions in my prayer journal, hoping they'd materialize one day.

Fall of 2019, I held my first outreach; a bracelet making and fellowship night.

In 2019, I took the leap to actively serve the community. Early on, I observed that churches and nonprofits were enthusiastic about serving but often paused due to limited resources, volunteers, and support.

This is where HPJ steps in. We believe communities are eager to contribute to their improvement, and given the opportunity, they will engage. HPJ is my response to witnessing potential outreach initiatives abandoned due to a lack of resources. We aim to assist churches and nonprofits in overcoming resource challenges.

Inspired by the mantra "Build it and he will come" from the movie Field of Dreams, we focus on creating deep partnerships in Montgomery County to pool resources and propel initiatives forward.

Operating on the premise that the Lord can do much with little, we work to form partnerships that allow projects to serve their intended audience.

Her Prayer Journal Ministries isn't just a nonprofit; it's a compassionate community fostering positivity. If your church or nonprofit has ideas waiting to be realized, we want to help. Community members with regional improvement ideas are also welcome – we may sponsor and support your event.

Together, we constitute the heart of this ministry.
